Catherine of Aragon (1485 - 1536) was the Queen of England from 1509 until 1533 as the first wife of the King Henry VIII; she was previously Princess of Wales as the wife of Prince Arthur. She also was the daughter of the Queen Isabella I of Castile and the King Ferdinand II of Aragon.

Mary I (1516 - 1558) was the Queen of England and Ireland from July 1553 until her death. Her executions of Protestants caused her opponents to give her the sobriquet 'Bloody Mary'. She was the only child of Henry VIII and his first wife Catherine of Aragon who survived to adulthood.

Elizabeth I (1533 - 1603) was the Queen of England and Ireland from November 1558 until her death. Sometimes called 'The Virgin Queen', 'Gloriana' or 'Good Queen Bess', Elizabeth was the fifth and last monarch of the Tudor dynasty; the daughter of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, who was executed two and a half years after her birth.
